Civil and Mechanical Engineers Jobs Vacancies in a Manufacturing Sector July 2010

Vacancies exist for the post of Civil and Quality Control Engineer, Mechanical Engineer and Mechanical Instructor.
Position: CIVIL & QUALITY CONTROL ENGINEER
(CODE IA 001)
Job Details:

• Reports to the plant project manager and is responsible for the Supervision of civil works and quality Assurance in the new crusher project.
• Civil drawing documentation
• Design of the new Batching plant
• Monitors and coordinates the activities of civil contractors on the project.
• Monitors the quality of materials and ensure quality control.
• Ensure proper implementation of civil works according to specification and quality control in general.

Qualifications and Experiences:
• A minimum of Bachelor of engineering and/or HND in Civil engineering
• qualified candidate should possess minimum of 10 years experience
• Must be a computer user with good knowledge of Auto card, M-Excel and M.s project.

The Person
• Age between 30- 45 years. Proactive, Self motivated, Disciplined, Assertive, Analytical, very Energetic with good team leadership skills and must be a team player


Position: MECHANICAL ENGINEER
(CODE IA 002)
Job Details:

• Report to the plant project manager and is responsible for the supervision of mechanical installations in the new crusher project.
• Documentation of mechanical drawings
• Supervision of Steel Erection
• Supervision of machine and equipment installation
• Production of modification drawings for the fabrication
• To ensure proper implementation of mechanical works according to specification.
Qualification/ Other Requirements:
• A minimum of Bachelor of engineering and/or HND mechanical engineering
• Age between 30 – 45 years. Proactive, self motivated, Disciplined, Assertive, Analytical, very energetic with good team leadership skills and must be a team player
• Must be a computer user with good knowledge of Auto card,
• MS-Excel and M.s project.

Position: MECHANICAL INSTRUCTOR
(CODE IA 006)

Job Details:
• Reports to the Headmaster (Training Center) and is responsible for guiding the operations of the training center’s mechanical workshop activities and be partly responsible for and supervises its administration,
• Functions as a full time mechanical instructor
• Provides the company with fully trained and sensitized maintenance mechanics after passing them through 3 years of intensive training in the fields of mechanical maintenance
• Gives the apprentices a full academic and vocational background for future development.
• Provides the necessary leadership to the mechanical part of the training center and will be in charge of up to 30 apprentices.
• Maintenance of the mechanical workshop of the training center and supervision of one assistant mechanical instructor.
• Maintaining, updating and preparing mechanical didactic materials
• Supervises and insures the provision of tools, materials and the maintenance of the mechanical installations
• Will work closely with the instructors, apprentice, the headmaster and HR
Qualification and Experience:

• A minimum of Bachelor of engineering and/or HND mechanical engineering
• Minimum 10 years experience including 3 years experience in mechanical or electrical training environment.
• Age between 30 – 45 years. Proactive, Self motivated, Disciplined, Assertive, Analytical, very Energetic with good team leadership skills and must be a team player
Other Requirements:
• Mechanical maintenance skill
• Mechanical manufacturing skills
• Tool machine, tool handling and fitting skills
• Teaching skills, versed in basic social science
